A 1983 graduate of South High School. Studied criminal justice at UW Milwaukee, then went to Dallas, Texas, to start a career in law-enforcement. After three years in Dallas, he was then hired by the Sheboygan Police Department. In 2010, he was elected Sheriff of Sheboygan County, and just recently after 29 years retired from law-enforcement.
He now is the Director of Safety and Security for Safety Connections, Inc., here in Sheboygan. He is our Girls Swim Team head coach and started a Jr. Redwing Swim Team program here at South.

Management Policies for managers and supervisors that focuses on: • Threat Management Planning • Model Policy for Workplace Violence • Threats and Violence • Threat Incident Report
A portion of the class will also focus on: • Understanding Types of Workplace Violence • Profile of Attackers • “Red Flags” or Warning Signs • Risk Factors • Personal Conduct to Minimize Workplace Violence, de-escalation do’s and don’ts • Ways to Prevent Workplace Violence
To conclude the training, how to respond to an active shooter and facility security will be discussed.
